Session 1: Estate Planning 101 - It’s Not Just for the Wealthy

We have all seen crowdsource funding campaigns in our community to assist families who have lost loved ones.  We need to empower ourselves with the legal tools necessary to make end of life decisions, including who decides your medical fate when incapacitated, who takes guardianship of your children, who receives your property when you pass. 

These are taboo subjects in our community, but we must educate and prepare ourselves to avoid distress in our families and set up the next generation for success.

Join the Eritrean American Bar Association and the Eritrea Diaspora Network for a three-part series that will educate you on fundamentals of estate planning. This series will be presented by the Legacy Counselor, Shakisha Morgan, Esq., a specialist in estate planning.
